Overview

Each account can have its own dispatch strategy, controlling how orders are dispatched after picking is complete. You can also configure separate strategies for standard and tote dispatches.
1

Open the account

From the Accounts screen, open the account you want to update.
2

Locate the Dispatch tab

Use CTRL + F to search for “Dispatch” or scroll down to find the Dispatch tab.
3

Choose a dispatch strategy

Select from the following options for both Standard Dispatch Strategy and Tote Dispatch Strategy:

Available strategies

Auto Dispatch on Completion of All Pick Tasks

Automatically dispatches the order as soon as all picking tasks are finished. No manual action is needed.

Loading

Groups stock into a load. Once the load is complete, it can be closed and dispatched. Useful for bulk handling.

Manual Dispatch

Creates a dispatch task for every completed picking task. Each task must be dispatched manually.

Shipment

Similar to Loading, but assigns stock to a shipment before dispatching. Ideal for combining several orders.

Additional options

  • Dispatch by Output Quantity — controls how many dispatch tasks are created for assembled (Assemble on Pick) kits (see below)
  • Footer Notes — add custom notes to generated dispatch notes
Tailoring dispatch strategies can significantly streamline the dispatch process for each account.
Both group stock together. Loading groups into a “load” for bulk handling, while Shipment assigns stock to a “shipment” that is ideal for consolidating multiple orders.
Yes. Use the Footer Notes field to add custom text to any generated dispatch note.

Dispatch by output quantity

This setting controls how dispatch tasks are created for products made from a Bill of Materials (BOM) when Assemble on Pick is enabled. It determines whether the system creates one dispatch task per pick task, or one per individual component.
SettingBehaviourBest for
Off (recommended)One dispatch task per pick taskLarge dispatches where detailed component tracking is not needed
OnOne dispatch task per individual component for each assembled kitDetailed tracking and auditing, especially when components are shipped separately
This setting does not affect pick tasks — it only changes the number of dispatch tasks created.

Example: Xbox and Cyberpunk 2077 Bundle

You have 10 Xboxes and 10 copies of Cyberpunk 2077. Your BOM product is an “Xbox and Cyberpunk 2077 Bundle” (one of each, output quantity: 1, Assemble on Pick on). A sales order for 10 bundles creates 2 pick tasks. Off: 1 dispatch task for Xbox + 1 for Cyberpunk 2077 = 2 total. On: 10 dispatch tasks for Xbox + 10 for Cyberpunk 2077 = 20 total.

Example: Tin Can Telephone

Your BOM product requires 1 Wire and 2 Tin Cans (output quantity: 1). A sales order for 10 telephones creates 3 pick tasks. Off: 1 dispatch task for Wire + 2 for Tin Can = 3 total. On: 10 dispatch tasks for Wire (qty 1 each) + 10 for Tin Can (qty 2 each) = 20 total.
