> How to close partially allocated orders by shorting unfulfilled lines using reason codes when stock is insufficient.

## Overview

When you process an order but do not have enough stock to fulfil it, the order goes into a **part-allocated** status. You can "short" the order to close it, using a reason code to explain why the remaining lines were not fulfilled.
