# Charge Windows: What They Are and How to Create One

> Create and manage charge windows that define the time periods for applying customer charges on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

## What Is a Charge Window?

A charge window defines the time period during which charges are applied to customer accounts. Charges can run on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

  <Step title="Access charge window settings">
    From the left-hand menu, click **Charges** then **Charge Windows**. This displays all existing charge windows.

  <Step title="Create a new charge window">
    Click **+Add Charge Window** to begin setup.

  <Step title="Enter charge window details">
    Fill in the following fields:

    * **Name**: Give the charge window a clear name (e.g., "Weekly Storage Charge").
    * **Frequency**: Choose either **Day** or **Month** from the dropdown.
      * **Day**: Pick specific days of the week (e.g., Sunday to Sunday) or choose all days for daily charges.
      * **Month**: A calendar will appear. Select the specific days within the month when charges should run.

    Click **Save** to activate the charge window.
