# Using the Booking Diary

> How to use the Booking Diary to schedule and track incoming stock deliveries for your warehouses.

## Booking Diary overview

The Booking Diary helps you track incoming stock for your warehouses using a visual timetable. You can add, reschedule, and update bookings directly from the diary interface.

  <Step title="Set up your warehouse opening hours">
    Before using the Booking Diary, input your warehouse's opening hours. Go to the **warehouse screen** from the **warehouses datagrid**, then scroll down to find the **opening hours** option.

  <Step title="Add a new booking">
    From the main Booking Diary screen, click on any of the available **time slots** to add a new booking.

  <Step title="Enter booking information">
    Fill in the relevant details such as **location**, **container numbers**, and **references**.

  <Step title="Change a booking time">
    To reschedule, click and drag the booking **left or right** on the diary. It updates automatically when you release it.

  <Step title="Update a booking status">
    **Double-click** on a booking to open it, then use the **drop-down menu** in the top left corner to change its status.

  **Why do I need to input opening hours?**

  Setting your warehouse's opening hours tailors the timetable to show only the hours when your warehouse is open.

  **Can I edit a booking after I have added it?**

  Yes. You can change the time by dragging it, and update the status by double-clicking and using the drop-down menu.
