# Managing and Assigning Delivery Addresses

> Add, manage, and assign delivery addresses to accounts for streamlined sales order processing.

## Delivery Addresses

Keep all delivery addresses in one central place so you can select them for sales orders without re-entering details every time.

### Adding a Delivery Address

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Delivery Addresses section">
    In the left-hand menu, click **Delivery Addresses**. A list of saved addresses will appear.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a new address">
    Click **+New**. A new screen will open for address entry.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fill in the address details">
    Enter all the necessary information such as **street**, **city**, and **postcode**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Activate or inactivate the address">
    Click the **Active** button to toggle the status. Click **Save** to confirm.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete additional sections">
    After saving, fill in the **External System References** and **Address** sections if needed. Click **Save** again.

### Assigning a Delivery Address to an Account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Select an account">
    Go to **Accounts** and select the account you want to assign a delivery address to.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find the Delivery Addresses section">
    Scroll down to the **Delivery Addresses** section on the account details page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Assign the address">
    Click the **dropdown box**, select the correct address, and click **Assign Delivery Address**.

To remove an address from an account, click the **Unassign** button next to that address.

<Info>Deactivated addresses will not appear in the dropdown when choosing a delivery address for sales orders. The **External System References** section is for linking addresses to external systems and can be left blank if not needed.</Info>
