Overview

Custom variables let you filter reports using specific criteria like date ranges, account IDs, or warehouse IDs. This makes your data analysis more targeted and efficient.
1

Open your report

From the My Reports screen, locate the report you want to customise. Scroll right and click the eye icon next to the Run button to view it.
2

Add variables

Scroll down to the Variables section and click Add to see the available variable options for that report.
3

Set variable values

After selecting a variable, you can give it a default value so the report uses it automatically each time. You can also toggle the Prompt option on or off to decide whether you are asked to enter the value when the report runs.
4

Save and use

Once saved, the variable is applied. If the prompt option is on, you will be asked to enter a value when running the report. Otherwise, the pre-set value is used.
The available variable options may differ depending on the report type. For example, a “Receipts Expected” report may offer different choices than a “Goods Out” report.
