Once you have created a site, you can set up one or more warehouses within it. Each warehouse represents a distinct operational space where stock is stored and managed.

Creating a warehouse

1

Go to the warehouse section

From the left-hand menu, click on Warehouses. A list of all existing warehouses will be displayed.
2

Add a new warehouse

Click the +New button to create a new warehouse.
3

Fill in warehouse details

Enter the required details:
  • Code: A unique code to identify your warehouse
  • Name: A descriptive name (e.g. building name or function)
  • Address: The full address of the warehouse
4

Save the warehouse

Click Save to complete the initial setup.
Only the Code and Name fields are mandatory. However, you should always set the Address — it is used as the sender address on courier shipments leaving your warehouse and is included in any output files such as EDI exports.

Setting default goods in and goods out bays

The Default goods in bay and Default goods out bay fields on the warehouse record control where inbound and outbound stock is initially directed. However, these can only be set once a location with type GIBAY or GOBAY already exists within the warehouse. Since a brand new warehouse has no locations yet, the typical setup flow is:
1

Create your warehouse

Follow the steps above to create the warehouse record.
2

Create your bay locations

Create locations with type GIBAY (goods in bay) and GOBAY (goods out bay) inside the warehouse.
3

Set the defaults

Return to the warehouse record and set the Default goods in bay and Default goods out bay fields to the locations you just created.
