Pick rules determine how stock is prioritised during the picking process. Choose the rule that best matches your business needs for efficient and accurate stock dispatch.
Available Pick Rules
| Pick Rule | How It Works | Best For |
|---|
| FIFO (First In, First Out) | Picks the oldest stock first | Perishable goods; ensuring older stock is dispatched first |
| LIFO (Last In, First Out) | Picks the most recent stock first | Products where newest stock should be prioritised |
| Sell By Date | Picks items closest to their sell-by date first | Products with expiration dates |
| Best Before Date | Picks items closest to their best-before date first | Products where freshness matters, even without strict expiry |
Pick rules are applied at the account level, meaning you can customise them for different accounts. You can change the pick rule at any time through the account settings.
