Pick rules determine how stock is prioritised during the picking process. Choose the rule that best matches your business needs for efficient and accurate stock dispatch.

Available Pick Rules

Pick Rule	How It Works	Best For
FIFO (First In, First Out)	Picks the oldest stock first	Perishable goods; ensuring older stock is dispatched first
LIFO (Last In, First Out)	Picks the most recent stock first	Products where newest stock should be prioritised
Sell By Date	Picks items closest to their sell-by date first	Products with expiration dates
Best Before Date	Picks items closest to their best-before date first	Products where freshness matters, even without strict expiry

Pick rules are applied at the account level, meaning you can customise them for different accounts. You can change the pick rule at any time through the account settings.
