Dashboards you can assign to a role

Home screen dashboards are now controlled from the Roles page rather than user by user. Each role gets a dashboard panel where you add any active dashboard and pick which one opens first for everyone in that role. Users can switch freely between the dashboards you have given them, and if you later deactivate or remove the default, the next dashboard in the list takes over automatically.Dashboards are still built in Dashboards & Reports → Dashboards. What changed is how you give people access to them — see User roles and Assigning different user views.

Improved

  • Attachments on every task data grid. Files attached to a task are visible from the task grids, so you no longer have to open a record to find out whether a photo or document was added. See Customising data grids.
  • Pick type on the tasks grid. A Pick Type column shows whether a task is a tote or standard pick, so you can filter and group work by how it needs picking. See Data grid columns and Enforcing pick types.
  • More Liquid document fields. A second round of fields is available to document templates, following the batch added in August. See Using templates.
  • Country of manufacture on shipments. The product’s country of manufacture is passed to the carrier when a shipment is created, so customs paperwork can be completed from product data you already hold. See Pre-requisites for shipments.
  • AI Assistant team integrations. The interface for connecting the assistant to your team’s tools is tidier and easier to follow. See Access and controls.

Fixed

  • Visibility conditions on handheld flows now evaluate correctly against boolean fields on a Retrieve Single Record step, so a conditional header you have configured — a “PDI Required” prompt, for example — appears when it should. See HHD conditions.
  • Marketplace orders no longer get stranded in Updated status when the order is amended after import. See Marketplace integrations.
  • Template tags that had gone missing from the template editor are listed again. See Using templates.

Correct the carrier, address or quantity at the packing bench

Details sometimes only turn out to be wrong once the order is in front of you. Until now, changing a carrier meant uncompleting the pick, cancelling the pick list, editing the sales order and starting the pick again. You can now change the carrier and service, the recipient address and the quantity to pack directly on the packing screen. Each change writes back to the affected sales orders — which the dialog lists before you confirm — regenerates the shipment and label, updates the packing list, and is recorded in the sales order history. If a shipment was already created before packing began, the carrier is locked.Where several orders go to one address on different carriers, packing a line belonging to another carrier now raises a Different Carrier warning instead of silently mixing them.
Full walkthrough: Packing desk.

Import tool: route files by their contents

An inbound file could previously only be matched to its import configuration by filename pattern or by the SFTP folder it landed in. Neither works for EDI senders who control neither — EDIFACT files arriving under any filename, with every message type in one folder.A configuration can now be selected on values read from inside the file, such as the message type in the UNH segment or the sender ID in the UNB segment, with several criteria applying together. This pattern is now standard configuration rather than bespoke work, so a new EDIFACT sender can be set up without a code change.Shipped alongside it across July and August: multiple date formats in one configuration, EDIFACT segment concatenation and duplicate named fields, matching start and end segment points, QALITY stock status messages through the standard tool, and automatic ANSI to UTF-8 conversion.
See Bespoke imports for how file matching works, and Import errors if a file fails.

A refreshed interface, and record counts that mean something

Icons, navigation, grids and panels have a consistent, modern treatment across the application in both light and dark mode, and the left-hand navigation is easier to read. Grid footers now tell you how many records you are looking at rather than just the total — for example 1-50 of 1,240 records — while very large result sets still show the “more than 10,000” message.
Nothing about how the screens work changed. This was deliberately a look-and-feel release, not a behaviour change.

More fields for document templates

Liquid templates can reach a much wider set of data, so labels and packing lists can be built without development work: Sales Order Attribute fields on pick labels; storage unit and product dimensions, weights and descriptions on packing lists; goods out line quantity on custom carrier labels; and carrier name, code and service on dispatch notes and pick lists. All appear in the Template Tags section of the editor. See Using templates.

New

  • Bulk import for alternative product codes. Load alternative codes in bulk instead of product by product. See Product import.
  • Print an invoice from an automation. A new automation action prints an invoice when the trigger conditions are met. See Email automations.
  • Recurring charge totals. The total charges panel includes a total for recurring charges, so scheduled fees sit alongside operational ones. See Recurring charges.
  • Storage unit count on product statistics. An additional field for reports and dashboards built on product statistics. See Using reports.

Improved

  • Amended quantities available on the handheld. A receiving flow can now be configured to show an amended expected quantity separately from the original, so receivers can see what changed. See Book goods in.
  • Consistent handheld styling. Logged time and other handheld screens match the styling of the main application.
  • Fewer confirmations on pickface picks. Picking from a pickface no longer asks for storage unit confirmation, which shortens the flow for pickface work. See Create a pickface.
  • Nominal codes on invoice automations. The invoice automation query exposes the nominal code against document lines, for finance exports that need it. See Export charges to Sage Line 200.
  • API documentation for stock updates. Stock update endpoints are documented in the OpenAPI specification, alongside automations, import configurations, RF flows and templates added over the same period.
  • AI model training opt-out. An explicit, organisation-wide opt-out from AI model training is in place. See AI data protection.

Fixed

  • Dates and times on goods in records and sales orders respect your site’s configured timezone.
  • Short receipt lines on goods in are handled correctly. See Book goods in.
  • Intermittent logouts are resolved. See Problems signing in.
  • Receipting against a pickface proximity putaway rule no longer fails. See Guided putaway rules.
  • Auto dispatch fires on final pick tasks. See Dispatching loads.
  • Header and footer images upload correctly on templates, and multi-page dispatch notes keep their formatting. See Using templates.
  • Carrier configuration screens no longer open empty. See Carrier integrations.
  • Order line quantities can be amended where conversions have already been applied to a stock line. See Amend order line quantities.
  • Sorting the sales order grid by Short Order Reason Code no longer errors. See Short order lines.
  • Descriptions containing spaces no longer block invoicing. See Create an invoice.
  • External references appear against marketplace order lines. See Marketplace integrations.

Security settings, with MFA in your own hands

There is now a single Security Settings page, reached from your user profile at the bottom of the navigation, covering both your password and your multi-factor authentication. You can see your MFA status, turn MFA on whenever you like, and turn it off — disabling asks for your current password and an MFA challenge before it takes effect. Administrators also gained a reset MFA action on the users screen, for when someone loses their device.
Password changes moved into this page. The separate change-password screen and its entry in the profile menu are gone — the fields themselves are unchanged.

The AI Assistant moves to its own page

The assistant has moved out of the modal and onto a dedicated page, with the standard Clarus menu and header around it, so you get the full width of the screen for a conversation without losing your navigation context.Conversation history is also kept for longer, so you can return to an earlier conversation rather than starting again.
Start at the AI Assistant overview. Your data is not used to train models — see AI data protection.

Expected dispatch times per delivery address

Each delivery address can hold an expected dispatch time — the time of day loads for that destination normally leave — maintained once per customer and delivery address rather than entered per order. It acts as a default: an order that supplies only a date picks up the address time, while an order carrying its own dispatch time keeps it. The value can be sorted and filtered on the grid, loaded in bulk through the address import, and set over the API.

New

  • Activity report. A new report covering warehouse activity. See Using reports.
  • Dispatch load automations can filter by customer, instead of applying across the board. See Dispatching loads.
  • Assigned product groups available on the handheld. Handheld flows can now be configured to display the groups a product is assigned to. See Using product groups.
  • Duplicate product codes on BOM imports, for bills of materials that legitimately repeat a component. See BOM import.

Improved

  • You can no longer decommission a pickface that is still in use. A pickface cannot be removed from a product while it has outstanding tasks or holds stock of that product, and removing one now clears the “enforce pickface” flags with it. See Create a pickface.
  • More efficient pick processing, so large batches of orders are worked through more quickly. See Create and process a pick list.
  • Faster first load, so the application is ready to work in sooner.
  • Higher receipt quantity limit for high-volume receipts. See Book goods in.
  • Phone number is optional on shipments, so a shipment is not blocked when a consignee has not supplied one. See Pre-requisites for shipments.

Fixed

  • Automated pick processing correctly targets allocated orders. See Sales order allocation.
  • Two automations updating the same record at once no longer deadlock, and a service issue that delayed FTP-triggered automations is resolved. See Email automations.
  • Amending a group number no longer wipes the storage unit quantity fields. See Create and use groups.
  • Stock balances push through to Magento 2 reliably. See Marketplace integrations.
  • Manual charges are raised against the correct charge basket rather than the next available one. See No charge applied.

Northern Ireland shipments under the Windsor Framework

Accounts shipping from Great Britain to Northern Ireland were blocked when the carrier required a UKIMS reference, because there was nowhere in Clarus to hold one.The Account screen now carries a UKIMS reference field, with an information icon explaining the expected format. Maintain it once and it is included in the shipment payload automatically for every eligible Great Britain to Northern Ireland shipment. The field is restricted to users with account management permission, and carrier rejections for a missing or invalid reference are captured in the event logs.

Scheduled recurring charges

Contractual fees that repeat — a minimum pallet agreement, a monthly service charge — had to be added by hand as sundry charges every period, which is admin effort and a missed period is missed revenue.Recurring charges can now be configured directly on a charge card and are raised automatically on a daily, weekly, monthly or end-of-charge-window schedule. They appear on charge lines alongside every other charge type and flow through existing invoicing logic, and how they show on the invoice is controlled per account.
See Recurring charges for the frequency rules, month-end behaviour and invoice presentation options.

Continuous pickface replenishment is now generally available

Continuous replenishment has completed its select beta and is now generally available to all customers. It tops a pickface back up as soon as it drops below its minimum, rather than waiting for demand to trigger a task, and can be combined with the demand and order volume strategies.

Process orders for picking the moment they arrive

A new automation action, Process the order for picking, can be attached to the Sales Order created trigger, so eligible orders start their warehouse workflow without anyone touching them. New condition fields decide which orders qualify: lines_total_count, lines_total_items_ordered and lines_total_unit_weight_ordered. A companion automation covers orders dated today and any historical ones still outstanding.

New

  • Automatic commercial invoices. The commercial invoice can be printed automatically when a shipment is created. See Commercial invoices.
  • Company name on shipments, for consignees where it is required.
  • Groups filters on the Tasks screen, for warehouses that organise work that way. See Create and use groups.
  • Order volume charge subtype on the charge card. See Pick charge subtypes.
  • In-app help and feedback. The help and feedback widget is more reliable, and you can raise feedback without leaving Clarus.

Improved

  • More reliable large label print runs. Big receipt label runs are processed in batches, so they complete dependably. See Pre-receipt putaway labels.
  • Obsolete products cannot be received, so discontinued lines do not come back into stock by accident. See Book goods in.
  • Marketplace mapping. Multiple marketplace SKUs can map to one product, and carrier mapping by group operation type gained filters and general improvements. See Marketplace integrations.

Fixed

  • Custom dispatch notes no longer print without their line data. See Using templates.
  • Estimated pallets on an order line showed the total for the whole order.
